EXQUISITE "D.PORTHAULT" PINK HANDKERCHIEF LINEN TABLECLOTH W/BEAUVAIS EMBROIDERY,NAPKINS. The pale pink handkerchief linen on this cloth is quite ethereal, so fine and magical and of course to add to its beauty there are fine Beauvais embroidered roses and rosebuds scattered on the cloth. Measuring approx. 144-145" by approx.70" wide. The cloth seems as if it was rarely used but there is on 1" darn , done very well so it seems it was done in its' time, one other small opening, otherwise very good strong condition.There are 11 napkins and so my thoughts are that perhaps one of the rosebuds could be used to cover the darn if desired. the napkins measure approx.21". A wonderful banquet tablecloth!
