CIRCA 1800's,SUPERB LAWN GOWN W/WHITEWORK,RIBBONS,VALENCIENNE LACE. Circa early 1800's,this is such an amazing early christening gown.The dress is made with fine ethereal lawn and has the most wonderful design.There is so much hand work in this design, masses of shirring or pin-tucking that alternates with fine Valencienne laces,, tiny whitework and ribbon insertions.The wings and bodice are also lavish .An incredible amount of work on this very beautiful early dress.In good strong condition,a few tiny openings but overall good and strong.The gown measures approx.51-52", 9" across bodice. This is one of my favorite gowns.. love its ethereal lightness of being, the workmanship and the design is quite superb.
