CIRCA 19THC.EXQUISITE BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE FLOUNCE.A wonderful Brussels Point De Gaze lace flounce measuring approx. 106" by 9" wide...centimeters approx.269.24cm by 22.86cm.The lace has a hand made Vrai Droscel ground, the ground is almost entirely covered with beautiful three-dimensional large roses, meandering vines and florals with ornate scrollwork weaving it's way through the lace.There are numerous tiny circles filled with needlepoint tiny flower fillings.The design of course is wonderful and so ornate and the lacework is exceptional.One could not ask for more.. except for a nice long measurement which it has.So a wonderful offering for the Point De Gaze collector in every respect.In good strong condition, the lace has it's original cream patina.
