BEAUTIFUL 19THC. BRUSSELS TRIANGULAR SHAWL W/POINT DE GAZE. Superb workmanship and design on this wonderful Brussels lace triangular shawl! There are large ornate vignetted filled with floral sprays, the largest being at the back. The vignettes are very rich and detailed with the finest needlelace.The Duchesse lace surrounding the vignettes is elegant and has scrollwork, arching leaves and florals. Most of the designs in the Duchesse lace have raised cordonnet on the floral and leaves. Measuring approx.82" by 18" at widest part. The lace has it's original cream patina and seems unused.
