CIRCA 1900'S, "AEMILIA ARS SOCIETY"MEDALLION WITH LIONS. A Italian Needlelace medallion with a ornate and intricate design. This seems to have been made in Bologna and possibly lacework made at the Aemilia Are Society. The society began in 1898 and their focus was on copying all the earlier Italian Needlelace designs from the 16THC and 17THC. Measuring approx. almost 5". In good strong condition, the lace has it's original patina and seems unused.
