CIRCA 19THC. EXQUISITE BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE FLOUNCE. Such a beautiful lace, both in design and quality of workmanship.This lace came from a very good collection and seems unused. Mounted on red silk it measures an amazing 130" by 4 1/2" wide, centimeters 330 cm by 11.43 cm . The rich and ornate design has lovely fine florals floral swags, very dense scalloped borders with tiny needlepoint lace fillings and scattered delicate Point De Esprit. It is quite rare to find good long lengths now but also to find such a beautiful lace that basically seems unused. In near mint condition, a few tiny openings, so very minor.This a a beautiful lace for the collector. It is such a testament to the beautiful and fine work made by the lacemakers in the 19THC. A truly stunning piece of lace!
