CIRCA 1700, FINE AND ETHEREAL VALENCIENNE LACE BORDER. I simply love these early laces.. they are so very fine. the linen flax is so light in the hand and as light as a feather. The lace has a lovely design of meandering large vines, floral and leaves with intricate and varied fillings throughout the border. A few tiny openings on heading.Measuring approx.18 1/2" by 2 1/2". The lace has it's original gentle cream patina and is in good strong condition.
