CIRCA 19THC. FINE ITALIAN TABLECLOTH W/EMBROIDERY, RETICELLA LACE.There is such elaborate and detailed raised satin stitch embroidery on this Italian tablecloth.I am thinking possibly Perugia, Genoa? Abruzzi? I will pass on information.I if I hear from someone who actually can place it.Circa late 1800's-1900, the tablecloth measures approx. almost 45"-almost 47". This certainly must have been a labor of love... the amount of workmanship is quite amazing, not only the precision of the embroidery but also the scalloped edge in itself is pretty astonishing when you view it up close.In very good strong condition, seems unused, there is one small age dot spot. This tablecloth came from the same estate as AL1145 and belonged to a very influential family in the Boston area.
