CIRCA 16-17TH, CENTURY INSERTION LACE. This cutwork lace seems to be 16THC.A amazing length, approx. 49" by 4 1/4". This might have been part of a sheet, tablecloth or religious garment. A rare lace and a good length. In good strong condition, the border is attached linen from the era. The lace comes from a museum deaccession.
