CIRCA 16TH-17TH CENTURY POINT DE NEIGE LACE. Such beautiful workmanship!! This lace came from a museum deaccession and might have been part of a modesty front or stomacher at one time or perhaps just saved from a larger piece. What counts here is how precious and beautiful the work is. One of my favorite laces, even this small piece had those beautiful scrolling vines and the tiny perfect flowers. A small piece that was kept as a example, the lace measures approx.8" by 5" at widest part. The lace is in mainly good strong condition, not perfect but certainly a lovely piece for the early collector.
