LOVELY ROUND FRENCH NORMANDY LACE TABLECLOTH. Circa 1890-1900, a very beautiful design on this French Normandy composite round cloth measuring approx.35". This is a very beautiful early example of the cloths made in France .There is handmade needle lace, Valencienne lace,bobbin lace, Rosaline lace, Tape lace and lovely oval vignettes filled with Valencienne lace. I think my favorite part is the wonderful raised satin stitch embroidery..this is really lovely! A few openings, a few small repairs that are difficult to locate otherwise in very good strong condition. Excellent design and very good workmanship on this lovely cloth.
