CIRCA 16-18THC. FLEMISH LACE,NEEDLE LACE PILLOW COVER. Very good early Flemish lace and Needle lace,Circa 16-18THC have been used in this decorative oyster cover. The cover was made at a later date and certainly is a decorative piece but what counts here is the very good early lace. Important pieces of lace were kept and eventually reused in different ways.This might have been lace that was part of a family's collection. The lace itself is extremely good. Measuring approx,34" long with a extra 4 1/2" for the lace flounce on either side.. and 18" measured across while laud flat. In very good condition, with original cream patina.
