CIRCA 18THC. FRENCH NEEDLE LACE LAPPETS. Circa 1700's, there is fine needle lace on these lappets. I am not sure , it seems like the needlelace was reapplied on a later net or the lace was unfinished ?. ..or damaged at some point and a attempt was made to fix it. The lappets measure approx. 23" for each lappet, width is 3 1/4". there are scalloped edges on the lappets. The lace designs are very god and the designs of large florals, vines and leaves are extremely fine. The lace has it's original cream patina.
