CIRCA 1690, EXQUISITE POINT DE FRANCE NEEDLE LACE BORDER. This beautiful lace measures approx. 68-69" by 3 1/2" wide. The flax thread is very fine and the lace work is excellent. There are assorted small urns, florals and undulating vines throughout the lace with raised cordonnet and picots in the design. Gently mounted on a piece of light silk, it seems this lace was rarely used.It is quite rare to find such a good intact long length. In god strong condition , the lace has it's original cream patina.
