CIRCA 1860's,SUPERB BRUSSELS LACE MIXED NEEDLE, BOBBIN LACE FLOUNCE. The design is quite exquisite and of course the level of workmanship is superb on this long flounce of Brussels mixed lace flounce measuring approx. 67" by 9" wide. The design is quite opulent with large undulating scrollwork, masses of delicate florals ,vines and tendrils .The ground is also handmade droschel. The lace has it's original cream patina. There are some scattered tiny openings and repairs near top, I consider minor in comparison to the overall good strong quality of the lace.This is a beautiful piece of lace in every respect.
