CIRCA 17THC. EXQUISITE POINT DE FRANCE LACE BORDER. Excellent lacework on this early Point De France border. Measuring approx.32" by little over 2 1/2". The heading is original to the date and both sides are edged with the tiny scalloped border.Although the photos are decent there is nothing quite like seeing the lace in person! This is not only exceptional lace work but a lovely design with these tiny wonderful raised designs. It almost defies belief that someone could have made this lace. A special piece for the early lace collector.The pictures make the lace look lighter because of the time of day. The lace is in very good condition.
