CIRCA 1860's, ORNATE BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE FAN. A beautiful Brussels Point De Gaze lace fan with mother of Pearl sticks. The lace is dense and encrusted with fine needle lace. There is a large central vignettes filled with flowers and two similar vignettes on each side.There is elaborate scrollwork, garlands of flowers and intricate tiny fillings with scattered Point de Esprit in the design. Measuring approx.12" deep. In very good strong condition, one side just needs to be gently glued to guard stick. The fan has a lovely rich and dense design with excellent Needle work.
