CIRCA 1920, EXQUISITE KING SIZE FRENCH NORMANDY BEDSPREAD W/BOUDOIR PILLOWS, BEDSKIRT. A rare and beautiful set in every respect! A wonderful King size French Normandy bedspread filled with Fond De Bonet, Valencienne lace and other fine lace insertions. This rare set consists of a large bedspread with deep lace edgings on three sides, a lace bedskirt and two down filled boudoir pillows measuring approx. 18 1/2" by 36" long .The flat part across the King size bed measures approx.76" by 80" and fits perfectly on a king size bed. The ruffle around the three edges measures approx. 21" deep. There is a additional dust ruffle bed skirt that measures approx. 14" deep. The bedskirt fits over the entire bed.The whole set has a soft pink silk satin lining that was made especially for this set. The lace itself was meant to be attached lightly to the set so it can be removed if desired.I am told the lace was removed and has been laundered and attached again. This set is quite magnificent.It is very rare to find not only a matching set but also such a beautiful French Normandy set with such a size.
