CIRCA 18THC. FINE ARGENTAN LACE BORDER. I just lover the flower sprays on this lovely Argentan lace border. At first I thought it might have been cut at the top but perhaps it was just going to have heading added at some point. A incredible amount of fine work from the hand made ground to superb raised cordonnet and fillings on the florals and edges. A lovely design and excellent workmanship. Measuring approx.45" by 2" wide.In good strong condition, one small opening. lace has it's original cream patina. A truly lovely lace!
