CIRCA 1890-1900, ORNATE IRISH CARICKMACROSS SHAWL/VEIL. A very ornate Irish Carickmacross lace shawl or veil measuring approx.118" by 26" wide. This is quite a beautiful design and is a very good example of the Irish Carickmacross shawls made during the late 1800's-early 1900. The lighting at the time we took the pictures make this shawl look like it is cream colored but it is a gentle white and is ideal as a wedding veil or simply a beautiful shawl to use in the evening.This shawl is much more beautiful in person, much nicer than pictures show.A few minor tiny openigns,very minor otherwise in very good strong condition.
