BEAUTIFUL LINEN TABLECLOTH W/ORNATE WHITEWORK EMBROIDERY, MILANESE LACE. The finest translucent linen has been used on this elegant Italian lace tablecloth. Entirely handmade with a wide scalloped bobbin lace border with deeper bobbin lace on each corner and a lovely handmade ornate whitework monogram. There is nothing quite like a beautiful monogram , the amount of precision and skill that was needed always amazes me.I like monograms very very much, certainly I personally don't care whose monogram it is as with antique linens , silver etc all the pieces were quite refined. It took great skill to work the precise small scale cutwork embroidery and the meandering floral accents. There are lovely large applique florals connected all around the cloth.measuring approx.54" by 54". In good condition, seems rarely used.
