CIRCA 19THC. ORNATE BRUSSELS LACE SKIRT PANEL W/POINT DE GAZE ROSES. A truly beautiful Brussels lace skirt panel with amazing workmanship and a wonderful opulent design. There are large superb detailed ferns in the design, florals, vines and leaves with large shaped ornate vignettes containing beautiful Brussels Point De Gaze roses. Measuring approx. 42" down the front and at the back approx. 44-45"long and approx. 58" around the waist and approx 72-74" around the bottom. this is perfect to wear as a beautiful skirt or use to make this into a gown if desired or one could separate at the back and use in another way. The large ornate vignettes are all along the front and also on the back.In very good strong condition, a few openings, overall minor. This has it's original cream patina and seems rarely used.A wonderful item for the serious Brussels lace collector.
