CIRCA 1800's, FINE MECHLIN LACE BORDER.A very pretty Mechlin lace border measuring approx.69" by 2 1/2", 175.26 cm by 6.35 cm.The lace has a wonderful delicate design with pretty scattered floral sprigs throughout the lace. The lace seems unused and has it's original label where it was sold in New York. B. Altman was one of the finest stores in New York, quite grand and beautiful, wonderful laces were sold there during the 19THC.
