CIRCA 1890-1900,LUMINOUS ANTIQUE CANTON SILK EMBROIDERED SHAWL.There are gorgeous large heirloom roses in this shawl with lovely florals, meandering vines and tendrils and leaves throughout the shawl.The black silk background is enhanced by the glowing ethereal cream silk threads. The design and workmanship is quite superior. Measuring approx.almost 60" with additional approx. 20" Macrame edge. In very good,seems almost unused condition. This shawl came from a museum deaccession.
