CIRCA 1735, EARLY VALENCIENNES LACE WITH 'CINQ TROUS' RESEAU. A lovely early Valenciennes lace edging with 'Cinq Trous' Reseau measuring approx. 62 inches by 2 inches. The lace has a lovely delicate design, with undulating and graceful large flowers and vines with denser lace work near the heading and also on the edge of the border.The lace has one join and a small spot otherwise in very good strong condition. the lace retains it's original cream patina and was part of a very good lace collection.
