CIRCA 19THC.ELABORATE LAWN HANDKERCHIEF W/ SUPERB VALENCIENNE LACE. Quite a ornate design on this lovely handkerchief! The finest lawn has been used at the center with a tiny elaborate whitework embroidered monogram tied with florals and a bow. There are pretty scalloped Valencienne lace insertion alternating with lawn and then a wide border of lace on the edge.A beautiful hanky! Measuring approx.11 1/2 ". In very good condition. All of the handkerchiefs listed came from a very good museum deaccession.Most of these were never used and retain their original cream patina.
