CIRCA 19THC. ORNATE CHRISTENING BONNET W/VALENCIENNE LACE, RIBBONS. This bonnet has wonderful Valenciennes lace and is almost completely covered with pretty silk ribbons with picot edging. It is always quite rare to find such a ornate bonnet, this was part of a good collection of children's clothing that might have been deaccessioned by a museum.In good condition, a inner stain on the silk lining and a few stains on hanging ribbons. A beautiful bonnet!
