RARE 17THC.EMBROIDERED STOMACHER W/POLYCHROME EMBROIDERY. Circa 1600's,a wonderful ladies stomacher with a embroidered front worked with polychrome silk threads.The design of large florals is quite superb, the colors are still bright and the needlework is extremely well done.The edges and front flap are bound with metallic and silk crossed cord.The lining on the back of the stomacher is printed and seems almost like a bizarre design.The design has undulating vines, acorns, fruit ad leaves.A Museum quality offering, wonderful for the collector of early clothing and textiles.In very good strong condition.( Item # EI57)
