A large handmade Italian bedspread with Filet lace , Reticella, raised satin stitch embroidery and insertions of Needlelace.Measuring apprx.105 by 85" wide with scalloped Filet lace edging. there are central large Filet lace vignettes filled with playful cupids, over 38 Filet squares and rectangular Filet figural insertions that include animals, brides etc. A lovely bedspread that is much nicer in person as it was difficult to photograph the many designs. Good workmanship and a great design.In good strong condition, a few minor openings in Filet. This item was rarely used.(Item #ALB67)
