CIRCA 1892,WORTH EVENING DRESS W/RECONSTRUCTED BODICE. Circa 1982 a one piece ivory silk satin brocade dress with orange, yellow and green roses with additional knotted silk chiffon and pearl beads.This Worth gown also has a separate bodice with lacings.At the bottom of the gown there are hem ruffles and there is a stiff ruffled lining inside the skirt.This is a reconstructed gown that was part of a museum deaccession of clothing.There is a Worth Petersham label on the inside of the bodice. There is a separate bag with chiffon and pearls and some cap sleeves. the silk itself is in good strong condition, the plain cream top has some shattering. It might be best to remove that part . It would be nice for someone to restore the gown. (Item #ALC61)
