CIRCA 19THC.LACE FAN W/HAND PAINTED LADY AND PLAYFUL CHERUBIM.Quite a beautiful fan leaf, with very fine hand made Tape lace and ornate vignettes containing fine silk organdy and lovely paintings.The central vignette has a lady in a garden surrounded by cherubs and flowers and butterflies.The cherubs on the other vignettes have beautiful faces, one with a bow and arrow.A fan leaf with a theme of Love,the faces and workmanship are really just so very beautiful and refined.The lace itself is very fine with good light thread. This item seems unused and certainly was never mounted on to fan sticks.There is one tiny opening, absolutely minor, the silk organdy is extremely strong.A excellent fan leaf for the collector.
