CIRCA 19THC.EXCELLENT 152" FLOUNCE OF BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE. Circa 1860's, this beautiful Brussels Point De Gaze lace flounce not only has a wonderful design but has such a great length and width. Measuring apprx. 152" by 10 1/2" or 386.08cm by 26.27cm.The design is lovely and the work completely covers the lace. There are large roses,sprays of flowers ,the finest Needle lace fillings, large ornate leaves interspersed with roses along the scalloped edges and scattered tiny Point De Esprit throughout the rest of the lace.The lace has it's original cream patina and seems unused.There are a few tiny openings and some tiny storage spots , absolutely minor.This lace is in excellent condition and has never been washed .It seems UNUSED and it is rare now to find such a good long flounce like this.(Item#AL644)
