CIRCA 18THC.RARE INFANT'S LINEN SHIRT W/HOLLIE POINT, BOBBIN LACE. EXQUISITE in every sense,a Hollie Point infants christening shirt with the finest linen.The linen itself has a beautiful elongated leaf design and the sleeves have amazing shirring . The workmanship on this is truly outstanding. There are two wide bands of Hollie Point enclosed with tiny scalloped whitework floral designs and tiny hand made bobbin lace around the collar and cuffs. This item is quite outstanding. Please see the other items that came with this christening set, part of a wonderful long time collection.It seems these were used , then packed away in 1770 and preserved in amazing condition.
