CIRCA 1850,SUPERB MUSLIN HANDKERCHIEF W/ROYAL CORONET,DRAWNWORK,WHITEWORK. Stunning whitework embroidery on this large wonderful handkerchief measuring apprx.22 1/2". There are elaborate florals and meandering vines and leaves with deeper designs in the four corners.. The finest Drawnwork surrounds the outer part with tiny floral swags and Point de Esprit over the Drawnwork.There are lavish initials and a crown above the design which signifies it was made for a member of royalty.This is quite superb in every respect. In very good strong condition, a few tiny openings that are absolutely minor.The handkerchief seems rarely used and has it's original pearlescent cream ivory patina. (Item #ALH78)
