CIRCA 1700's,LOVELY CHRISTENING BONNET W/HOLLIE POINT. One of the most amazing Hollie Point infant's items I have come across in almost 45 years! This beautiful bonnet has such a wide insertion of Hollie Point.A lovely trellis design with floral sprays in the Hollie Point , surrounded by tiny whitework embroidery and hand made bobbin lace. The line is the finest imaginable with a rare ethereal and gentle leaf design in the linen.I do not think I have come across this before.The bonnet has meticulous workmanship. This item was part of a major collection and there is provenance. A few tiny age spots, minor.These have never been washed and are in excellent condition. (Item #ACC239)
