CIRCA 1860's,OPULENT BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE BERTHA COLLAR. Circa 1860-1880,a very beautiful Brussels Point De Gaze lace bertha collar.The workmanship is extremely fine and the design is quite lavish,with ornate roses with three dimensional petals,elaborate florals,scrollwork and scattered with Point De Esprit.It seems the ground might also be hand made.Measuring apprx.42 by 6" wide, centimeters 106.68 by 15.24cm.The collar seems unused and has it's original cream patina. There is one tiny minor opening,the lace is in very good strong condition.(Item #AL630)
