CIRCA 19THC. 17 FT. ITALIAN BANQUET TABLECLOTH W/FIGURALS,BOBBIN, NEEDLE LACE,RETICELLA. A massive and ornate Italian banquet tablecloth measuring apprx.17 Ft. Long by 5.41 Ft.In centimeters apprx.546.1 cm by 165.1cm. This tablecloth is a early one with so much varied and elaborate work in the design. There is Reticella lace, and bobbin and needle laces in the cloth and there are apprx 8 small figurals in period costume near the long edges of the cloth. I missed these when I was taking the pictures but will do some photos , so email me if you wish to see them. In mainly very good strong condition, some scattered brides need to be seen to, one dark rust spot, apprx 1 1/4" and a few other smaller spots that need to be treated, but overall good and strong. This unusual cloth came from a major lace collection in New York. with lace and linens date from the 16-17THC. This cloth seems like a early cloth,we will email more pictures if desired.
