CIRCA 18-19THC. HAND MADE ITALIAN BEDCOVER W/FILET,RETICELLA LACE,BOBBIN LACES. Part of a lace collection that had items from the 17th-19ThC. This item seems quite early with apprx.more than 45 assorted squares containing Reticella and Filet laces.There are also other squares and lace insertions in the design. Measuring apprx.7 Ft. 9" by 7Ft. 9 inches . In centimeters apprx.269.24 cm. There are some scattered separations, on the heavier lace on edges of the cloth where there are wear and openings, so perhaps repair or remove.Most is strong but there are a few areas on this edges that are damaged. The inner part of cloth is in better condition, stronger and some separations but really in mainly good condition. My thoughts on this is that so many of those squares have such good work and design ,this is a item that would be best for lace collector as opposed to using on a bed.
