FINE EMBROIDERED ITALIAN LINEN NEEDLE LACE TABLE RUNNER W/BIRDS. A lovely Italian hand made linen table runner with fine raised satin stitch embroidery and elaborate Needle lace. The runner measures apprx. 55 by 19" wide. The runner has it's original ivory cream lace patina and seems unused. This item is part of a collection from a prominent New York estate.There are two large oval vignettes on each side with a lavish wide Venetian rose point scrollwork and vines and florals in the design.Almost the entire area is hand worked with cutwork, Reticella and the raised satin stitch embroidery.Unused and in very good condition.
