Measuring 114", this lace came from a estate in New York where many of the laces were from the firm, French and Company. This firm was a major importer of textiles, founded in the mid 19ThCentury and they supplied many of the collectors and museums in America.In those days they imported decorative arts,tapestries and sculpture. In 1968 the company was sold and today they mainly sell fine art and sculpture. May of the laces from this collection have been in storage for many years and is part of one collection.Many pieces date from the 16THC. to the 19THC.The width on this lace is 4 1/2". The original label is on the lace .In very good strong condition. (Item #AL622)
