SUPERB 175"BANQUET TABLECLOTH W/FIGURAL EMBROIDERY,12 NAPKINS. A impressive fine Italian linen banquet tablecloth measuring apprx. 175 by 70 inches.There are 12 matching linen napkins measuring 21".The design above the scalloped edge has 19-20 elaborate shaped vignettes,some filled with figurals and also with elaborate Drawnwork and embroidered designs.Linking the vignettes there are Drawnwork scrolling vines. Around the center of the cloth there are large vignettes on each corner containing whitework embroidered ladies in classical dress,archers with bows and arrows, other shaped vignettes with figural sand other vignettes surrounded by garlands depicting a lady in classical dress with two cherubs.The design also has large sized ladies in classical dress with harps and assorted large urns overflowing with flowers. The scale on the designs is quite remarkable. In very good strong condition, some tiny spots that just need spot cleaning,absolutely minor.This cloth seems unused.
