CIRCA 1860,ELABORATE LADIES STRAW OR CRIN SPOON BONNET W/SILK RIBBONS.A superb bonnet made of straw or horsehair?(Crin) with alternating striped colors.This lovely bonnet has scalloped silk bows and ribbons , with tiny passementerie and decorative straw flowers around the scalloped brown Crin on edge.The bonnet is wired and has a interior stiffened muslin. In mainly very good strong condition, there are some splits , the ribbon has a few openings. My opinion absolutely MINOR compared to the overall good condition. This was preserved quite well and is one the nicest bonnets I have come across during this era. (Item #AH15)
