ELABORATE LONG APPENZELL TABLE RUNNER W/COURTING COUPLES,MUSICIANS. A lovely fine long linen table runner with large figural vignettes . Measuring apprx. 110 by 12 inches wide.The Appenzell is excellent, there are ladies in period costumes being serenaded by musicians in a pastoral setting . There are large detailed architectural urns overflowing with florals, flower swags and ribbon and bows. The central vignette has a gentleman courting the lady with a floral bouquet.There are numerous flower swags with drawn stitch embroidery and large floral bouquets with more embroidery and Drawnwork along the scalloped edges. In very good condition,one tiny opening in Drawnwork,minor. The item has been laundered.
