CIRCA 1900, RARE PINK CANTON SILK EMBROIDERED SHAWL.Circa late 1800-1900, a wonderful Canton hand embroidered silk embroidered shawl.A beautiful and rare color, the rose pink silk ground is heavily embellished with polychrome silks.The large heirloom cabbage roses are embroidered with bright deep red silks that have shading and the ornate vines, florals and leaves enhance this graceful shawl. Measuring apprx.82" by 78" to include the lovely Macrame edge which measures apprx.17-18".The shawl is in very good condition, seems unused ,one tiny pinhole,.The shawl has it's original metal and cardboard hang tag.A stunning shawl in every respect.( Item #AS74)
