CIRCA 17THC.SUPERB ITALIAN BURATTO LACE PANEL WITH EMBROIDERED CROWN. A ornate early Italian Buratto linen scalloped linen panel with raised embroidery of a crown with lavish florals and leaf decoration.The workmanship is excellent and the design is quite beautiful. Probbaly a panel made for the Church or for some member of a royal family.Measuring apprx.45" by 9" wide.The panel is finished on both edges and is in it's original form.The cold linen threads are quite significant as over the centuries linen flax has become warmer due to climate change.A wonderful piece for the early collector of lace.In good condition, this was preserved very well.
