CIRCA 19THC. ELABORATE BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE FLOUNCE.A very beautiful design on this long flounce of Brussels Point De Gaze. The work is extremely fine and detailed ,this lace was made by very skilled workers in Brussesls during the late 1800's.A large swag of flowers surrounded by tiny Point de Esprit enclosed in decorative border with large shaded florals and leaves on the scalloped edges.Measuring apprx.217" by 6" wide...551.18cm by 15.24cm.There are a few repairs done in their time and some tiny openings but overall this lace has it's original cream color and is in good strong condition. This lace was never washed and is very strong.(AL508)
