Superb Ayrshire whitework embroidery on this fine early 1800's gown.made of the finest quality linen, almost feels like silk in the hand, best quality linen is enhanced by the excellence of the hand embroidery. Measuring apprx. 42" long, 8 1/2" across check. The gown has double layers on the sleeves and fine wings down the front of the gown with fine Ayrshire work along the edges of the wings and bottom of gown.
