CIRCA 1900, LARGE ELABORATE TAMBOUR LACE CURTAIN. A lovely design on this large strong Tambour lace curtain. Measuring apprx. 160" by almost 70" wide, the curtain panel is quite elaborate with large scale flowers and garden grid design in a wide border along the edges and at the bottom of the curtain. There are flower swags and large florals connected in the main design of the panel. Curtains rarely survived from this era and so there is only one panel . The curtain is good and strong, there is one repair, probably could be down better, but because of the size of curtain it pales in comparison to the overall design.There are some openings on Tambour application but overall good and strong and will last for a very long time. This of course can always be used for other purposes,pillows, dressmaking etc but I think it is very nice as a curtain .(Item #ALC19)
