CIRCA 1800, LADIES REGENCY MULL SHAWL W/AYRSHIRE,WHITEWORK EMBROIDERY.A wonderful mull shawl that quite possibly could be for ladies wear or used for baby as a christening shawl.Measuring apprx.63-64", with two sides that have wide border measuring apprx.14" with Drawnwork and decorative trellis work and raised embroidered flower swags.There are large elegant centralized floral urns with flowers also in the elaborate design. This is a foldover shawl so two edges have the simple whitework design of Dranwork with raised whitework floral swags.There is soem damage one 5 1/2" tear near one edge,one 5" repair near busy edge and a couple of small MINOR openings.Overall in very good condition, rare to find in such early fine shawls like this.In good strong condition.
