CIRCA 1856, IVORY MOIRE SILK FAILLE PRINTED SILK GOWN W/ROSES.A lovely ivory moire faille evening dress with alterations. The fabric sand trim ware superb with large rose sprays in the design, with beads and corded silk fringe.Originally a two piece it was joined and a zipper added. There is a sleeveless voice and so it can be restored if desired and the wide top shaped part can be removed and restore again to bodice.In good condition. Fabric is lovely and gown if desired could be restored.Part of Metropolitan Museum deaccession.(Item #ALC33)
